    DESCRIPTION

Eupatorium dubium Baby Joe is a compact and hardy perennial plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is commonly known as coastal plain joe-pye weed, and is native to eastern North America. Baby Joe grows up to 2-3 feet tall and wide, forming a mounded habit with dark green leaves. The leaves are long and lance-shaped, and have serrated edges. The foliage is fragrant and attractive to pollinators.

In late summer, Baby Joe produces stunning mauve-pink flowers that are arranged in large, flat-topped clusters that can reach up to 6 inches wide. The flowers are held on sturdy stems that rise above the foliage, making them ideal for cut flowers. The flowers are rich in nectar and attract a wide range of pollinators, including butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.

Baby Joe is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in full sun to partial shade, and in a variety of soil types. It is also deer-resistant and tolerant of drought conditions. This plant is ideal for garden borders, meadows, and naturalistic plantings. It can also be grown in large containers, and is a great addition to butterfly and pollinator gardens.
