- Buds are sticky, resinous, and strongly aromatic
- Leaves are ovate, dark green on top, silver underneath
- Fall foliage is a bright yellow
- Hanging, long, pale yellow-green catkins appear mid-spring
- Native to Ontario and parts of North America.
